This morning, after the usual trip to the Saturday farmers' market, I took Quincy on a walk around the Houston Arboretum.
In downtown Houston there is a huge park called Memorial Park. The Arboretum is a segment of that park, with its own trails.
I like finding things like this in odd places. It doesn't really look like the Houston most people see on a daily basis.

We are back in the USA.
I will be posting a bunch of the photos later, but I thought I would upload a few right away.
On Tuesday, we went on a sailing trip off the northern coast of the island of Roatan, Honduras.
We went snorkeling through the coral reef, swam with a dolphin, and sailed through a little squall.
Since Jenny is a badass, she took over after a while and put her old Navy skills to use.
The guy behind Jenny is Dusty, the owner of the boat. He enjoyed letting Jenny handle the boat.

I am playing around with my old photos using some new software.
Above is the original. Below is after some tweaking.
I am still figuring it out.

I am sure everyone is tired of photos of Quincy. However, I am using him a lot to help me learn how to use my new camera. Today, we worked on action shots.

After dinner tonight, we went to a little community park on Lake Houston. Jenny and Quincy walked around while I snapped pictures.

Jenny wants shelves for our under-the-stairs closet. So, yesterday, I made this. The two thin shelves are removable/adjustable.
After the entertainment center, it was nice to make something rustic. For these shelves, appearance doesn't matter much - just usefulness.
I should be able to fit another one right beside it in the closet. I'll make a second set next weekend.
