Sunflower

I dedicate most of my garden to herbs and vegetables. Very few flowers are planted. However, I do like throwing in a few sunflower seeds when I have a little extra room.

I took this photo in my garden this morning, just as the sun rose high enough to shine over our fence and onto the face of the flower. The flower bloomed just yesterday.
