I made this while waiting for the glue to dry on another project. I don't know yet what I'll do with it .
The picture doesn't make the size obvious. To give you an idea, it holds 3 by 5 inch index cards nicely.

Very cool. Is the carving done freehand or with a pattern of some sort?
No patterns. Just use a couple layout tools (i.e. compass and square) to outline a few things. Then just eyeball the rest.
