Shaker Oval Boxes for Mother's Day

I made a set of nesting Shaker oval boxes for Jenny. They are really a Mother's Day present, but I gave them to her this morning because I didn't want to wait.

They are made from cherry and fastened with copper tacks. The tops and bottoms are secured with wooden pegs. I made them using traditional hand tools - nothing powered by electricity.
