Toddler Approved Goat Cheese

So, the Texas wildfires haven't affected us much. A couple times last week, we saw smoke coming from wooded areas near our neighborhood, but the firefighters took care of those fires quickly. I smell smoke in the area when I go out running (but all of Houston smells like that now). That is about it.

However, we know several farmers that live about 30 miles northwest of Houston. The fires out that way have truly been scary.

Blue Heron Farm has been helping out by allowing some evacuated farmers, and their animals, to come stay at their place. So they have a surplus of goats staying at their place. They have been making tons of goat cheese and distributing it around Houston farmers' markets, stores, and restaurants. Apparently, it has been selling really well, and it helps support the farmers a little bit.

Anyway, that was just the back story of the Fieldstore Fire Chevre that Mariana really likes eating.

Hey Ted, I'm training for the Disneyworld Half-Marathon. Nick's doing it with me, and then he'll run the marathon the day after! You guys wanna come, too?
