Jenny's Footstool

Jenny is shorter than me, and she is more comfortable elevating her feet a little while sitting in our dining chairs.

So, I made her a low footstool. I shaped everything by hand, didn't measure anything, and didn't use plans. And I don't think I screwed it up too much.

It is made of maple and padauk. The padauk starts out red, but it will darken as it ages.

Now that is one cool footstool. I like the contrasts in the colors and the wood.

Yup, best footstool ever! (We just won't tell Ted about the yellow one you and I made with Mary's help)
